So I had to read this article for my College Writing II class and I was wondering what you guys thought about it. A lot of the follow up questions to the article were about agreeing with the author and I couldn't get myself to decide one way or another. It's a long article but it's pretty interesting. What do you think?

Bianchi will be his own man

Dan Bianchi has long served Pittsfield with fiscal responsibility and the welfare of the people in mind. As mayor, he will be his own man, not influenced by members of previous administrations who feel that they can control him. There has been too much of the "good ole ol’ boy" network in place in the city of Pittsfield at the expense of local business.
Please vote Dan Bianchi for mayor on Election Day.
VINCENT LEE
Pittsfield

Since I posted a negative post about Bianchi last week I figured we would see what the positive supporters have to say...and I'm not terribly impressed. "As mayor, he will be his own man"...isn't elected government supposed to represent the people? Could anybody define "good ole ol' boy" network for me? I don't think Mr. Lee is doing a good job promoting votes for Bianchi.
